4th and 5th Grade
Our Purpose
The purpose of FIT is to
give the 4th/5th graders a place to belong and identity of their own. We
want them to know:
1. They are important to God's family and plan!
2. They can experience God in their life!
3. They are old enough to be responsible for their faith!
4. They can be confident to defend their faith!
Sunday Schedule
First Hour
This group has an identity of its own
that creates a sense of belonging through interactive teaching, social
events and serving opportunities. While the 4th and 5th
graders will be using the same virtue driven curriculum as the entire kid’s
ministry, they will also be grappling with issues that are culturally
relevant to them using a new curriculum called "Grapple" (produced by Group
Publishing).
Second Hour
During 2nd
hour, students will be
involved in learning and
"practicing" four life-giving practices in the area of worship, God's Word,
praying for each other and praying for their friends. This is designed to
help them experience a stronger connection with God and become "walking
worshippers" throughout their everyday lives.
