Last PC FUSE for the Year! |
What is PC Fuse?
A time for parents and children to come together and FUSE (Forming
a Unique Shared Experience)
What is the Purpose?
The purpose is to
bring parents and children together for several reasons:
●To
help parents and kids connect by giving them a shared experience
that will build on the virtue for the month. (What kids will be
learning on Sunday mornings)
●To
get kids and parents on the same page as they understand the virtue
of the month so it is easier to build on at home.
●Provide a place to
connect with other families
●Provide a place to have fun together (that you don't have to plan
yourself)!
●To
provide a place with a hands on experience for kids and parents that
could be equipping in nature that helps drive home the meaning
and/or application of the virtue.
●To
resource parents with tools to use at home to build on the virtue.
How often will we have PC Fuse?
PC FUSE meets once a month on the 2nd Friday of each
month. The time is from 6-8:00 p.m (or as long as it works for your
family to stay).
What ages is it geared toward?
It is geared more toward elementary age kids but preschoolers
enjoy it as well.
What if I have kids in junior or senior high school?
It depends on your preference, but you are welcome to bring the
whole family if you would like. There are serving opportunities if that
would make it more appealing to your older kids (drama, leading worship,
helping with the meal, etc.).
What will it be like?
No two FUSE nights will look exactly the same but there will be
some constants.
1.
We will have dinner available every month at 6:00 p.m.
2.
There will be a large group time that will introduce families to
the "virtue" for the month (that virtue will be the basis for 2nd hour
teaching on Sunday mornings that month). It will include both music and
drama and teaching.
3. It will also include some sort of fun
activity families can do together or in groups that will drive home the
definition and/or application of the virtue.
Is there anything unique about the first one?
Yes! You and your
child can meet their teachers/shepherds for the new year and check out
your new room.
What about bringing friends?
This is a GREAT place to bring other families with you! If their
parents are at a place where they aren't interested yet, bring the kids
and make them a part of your family for the night.
Is there a cost?
Cost for
the night is $10/family or $7/family of 2 and includes the meal an any
activity we do. There is also a great resource available for purchase
for $5.00 called the “Virtue Pak.” It has several different tools you
can use throughout the month to help your kids better understand about
the virtue. There is also a great parent section on the CD that will
give you ideas and a better understanding of the virtue as you try and
pass it on to your kids.
